LEARNING4CHANGE
"This year I spent two weeks with Chris Pullenayegem who directed the cross cultural training for 28 missionary volunteers young and old from The Episcopal Church as they were preparing to live and work in another culture for one to three years. Our volunteers ranged in age from 21 to over 60yrs; some had international experience, some were getting their passport for the first time and all had some anxieties of what their future year would hold for them.
Chris is not only gifted in presenting the principles and practice of cross cultural engagement but also proved to be an expert in gently guiding challenging conversations with a very diverse group of individuals. Chris is a gifted facilitator who was always able to lead a conversation to a positive learning experience, whether it was a conversation about the cultural appropriateness of texting to challenging conversations around prejudices and racism. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending him for any group interested in any aspect of cross cultural training. Chris is a pleasure to work with and I hope that we will be able to continue to use his gifts in the coming years" - The Rev. David Copley DIRECTOR, MISSION PERSONNEL and TEAM LEADER GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS, The Episcopal Church
“It is clear to me that Chris is gifted in a number of ways; (for one), He is able to take an idea and move it from the conceptual to the practical” - Dr Steve Timmerman’s (President of Trinity College, Chicago)
Chris was GREAT! Great instructor and easy to understand and talk to - Workshop participant
I have personally observed his (Chris's) abilities to work with groups of people who are diverse in culture and outlook. He is very good at managing people and process, with insight and sensitivity. He has demonstrated that he can build effective teams, recognize and recruit talent, and turn ideas into strategies that lead to action - Rev. Dr. Connie denBok - Lead Minister Alderwood United Church
